Tough Times

This has been a very trying time for my family. My husband got laid off 3 weeks ago (and he was our only full time income!)and was having trouble getting on unemployment because the trucking company he worked for was in a different state. So what little bit of savings we had has been whittled down to almost nothing while we wait for unemployment or another job.

So , I have been trying hard to get some work at home ideas going so I can make some money. I also have some applications in at local places for myself. (Someone has to work!) Unfortunately , though , we live in a very small town and the 2 factories here have either laid off a ton or one shut their doors completely! I have been doing some sewing and still am writing online. I also have cleaned out a few boxes from storage selling the stuff on ebay. I really think the ebay for right now has been the best thing. I must have the right stuff for sale right now because it all seems to be selling.

I am getting a whole shed full of stuff ready to have a yard sale. Pretty soon it will be warm enough to have one and I have enough stuff to be a huge one. I have not had a yard sale in a couple of years so I have a ton of stuff that I have been saving.

Hopefully our tough times will be over soon. I will be sharing some stuff on here on what we are doing to make money at home and hope that we will all learn from it all.

I Have Been Reading!

I got 2 new books that I actually just finished reading. Home-Based Business For Dummies (For Dummies (Business & Personal Finance)) and The Stay-at-Home Mom's Guide to Making Money from Home, Revised 2nd Edition: Choosing the Business That's Right for You Using the Skills and Interests You Already Have. They are actually very good and full of tons of information. I am sharing them with you because they are so good. They really have some great tips and would be helpful for anyone wanting to work at home. If you are wanting to work from home and are looking for some great reference books, then these 2 will be a awesome addition to your WAHM library.

Do Not get Scammed!

In these bad economic times , it is really easy to fall for scams because we are all looking for a fast way to make money at home. But you really have to watch out and keep yourself from losing your money trying to find a way to make money. Follow these tips to be able to spot a scam and you will not get scammed. Do not throw your good money away on a scam.
1. If the offer promises you that you will make a ton of money in a very short time.
2. If it says that you need no experience.
3. If it promises you that you will make money in your sleep and have to do no work.
4. You will only have to work a couple hours a week and still make money.
5. It it promises you that your business will never fail.
The last 5 items are some things to watch out for. If it is scam it will promise you a ton of things and money without really telling you what it is that you will be doing. Another thing to watch out for is if it ask for money from you up front. No Real job will ask you for money to get a job with them and a real job will also take a lot of work.
Just keep these things in mind so you will not be scammed. You do not want to lose money if you are on the lookout to make money.

Making Money With Blogs

That is what I have been doing the last several weeks - writing on other blogs of mine and getting them all set up and filled with great information! That is why I have not been writing on this blog so much , I am a WAHM anyway and that is what I have been doing. I have been writing on several other blogs, selling on ebay a lot more, sewing items to sell , and so much more. I have been super busy. And I LOVE it!!

I hope to get back to writing on this blog regularly pretty soon.
