Writing out a task list will help keep you on track. Making out a to-do list will keep your day organized and let you prioritize the jobs that must get done. Be sure to group like tasks together and order your tasks so that you won't need to spend a lot of time needlessly driving from place to place.

Set filters on your email. Doing this once will save you time in the long run. Most email programs allow you to automatically sort incoming mail in a variety of ways. Instead of dealing with one crowded inbox you can instead focus on urgent mail and let personal correspondence wait until later, when you are less busy.

Keep a water bottle at your desk. Not only will drinking water keep you hydrated and healthy, but you will save time getting up for a drink and spend less time away from your work.

Keep your workspace neat and clean. If you can't find what you need without a protracted search it is time to organize. The less time you spend looking for materials the less distracted you will be.

Limit the amount of time you spend on non-work related websites. You don't need to keep constant track of your friend's latest update to his Facebook status. There will be plenty of time to spend surfing the web later, especially with all the time you save by following these five rules!
