I have a few affiliate programs that I use, I have my blog listed on some topsites ,mybloglog, technorati, and more. I have a few readers to my feed. I have found out one thing -- THAT THIS IS REALLY WORK!!! Even when I am not online working on these blogs ,I am always looking for new ideas to write about, writing in my blog journal, etc! This is actually a ton of work. If you are planning on doing this - be prepared. You really have to keep your blogs fresh and updated. If your readers are used to you posting a certain amount of times than you have to keep it up or you will lose them.

I have quite a few blogs now and I think that is another secret to actually making money with blogging - YOU CAN'T JUST HAVE ONE!! You have to have several niche blogs. Each one focused on a different thing. That way you can catch a wide variety of readers. If someone is not interested in this blog ,they might like another.

My other blogs are >>

Another thing about blogging for money ( ProBlogging) is that you HAVE to actually have content. It cannot just be a bunch of links and ads. You really have to be serious and write about stuff. Make your blog about something that you know about and have a passion for and it will come naturally.

Now get to creating your own pro blog!!!

Wahm - How To Find Time For Your Business

Any work-at-home-mom will confess that owing her own business is as challenging as it gets. While the rewards are bountiful, the word easy is not one used to describe small business ownership.

Many moms who work out of their home also have to multitask tending to the needs of their small children. In fact the reason many parents choose to work at home is so they can be available to care for the kids. Keeping up with household maintenance and child rearing is a full time job. So how does one find time for her business?

The answer to that is simple. You don't find time; you make time. Okay the part about making time may not be that simple, but it is very much doable. The most important factor in making time is your mind set. Remember RYBLAB - Run Your Business Like a Business. Assuming we're talking about a bona fide business and not just a little something you do periodically to earn a little extra cash, then it's important to manage your time.

The mom business owner who has an infant or toddler will need to manage her time much differently than one who has school aged children. For those who are also caring for an infant, take advantage of the times when baby is sleeping. Just don't forget to get a few hours of sleep yourself!

Toddlers are a little more challenging as they are very busy little people. Set up a desk for your little one near your computer. While mommy is working, your toddler can color or work on simple crafts. Or set up a small corner near you with some favorite toys.

Business owner parents who have children in school all day know they have a window of approximately six hours to get as much done as humanly possible without interruptions of parental tasks. The key is to take full advantage of any time you have to yourself or at least without a child needing your undivided attention.

Don't try to find the time - you'll run yourself ragged trying to find something that isn't there. You need to make the time. If you fail to plan, you can plan to fail. Just as married couples should schedule dates on a regular basis, small business owners need to schedule work time and stick with it!

You can do it!

You should write a business plan for yourself even is you are not planning on using it for investors or banking. This will help you work towards your goals and to realize what you are really wanting out of starting your own business.
Following is a list of the chapters that your business plan should have:

Where to begin?

You want to start your own business. The first place to start is to self-question yourself. Do this exercise by writing down one sentence answers to the following questions. Put it aside and then revisit them in about a week and answer them again. A side by side comparison of your answers may reveal a lot.

1. What is you definition of job security?

2. How important is money and how much you have of it to your life?

3. What would you like to improve about your life?

4. What is your definition of power?

5. How will your age affect the potential of your business?

6. Do you have any health issues that may affect the short term or long term commitment to your business goal?

7. What are your primary family considerations and commitments?

8. How does your business fit in to where you live? Will you need to travel to get to your customer base? Or will opening a business in your area be feasible? ( Will you stand out? For example - Do not open a cake decorating shoppe in your small town if there are already 2-3 of them!!)

9. What is the total investment you will need to raise for your venture and is it a feasible thought?

10. How would you define your attitude towards this venture?

Now put your answers to these questions to the side and revisit them in about a week to see how you answer them again. This should help you define your strategy before you even get on the road to starting a business. To create a business you must have a vision of what you are wanting to accomplish , have researched your ideas and their feasibility , and successfully communicated your idea. You need to educate yourself on the current trends in the market you are about to enter. You also need to have a clear idea and vision of what you are working towards. RESEARCH!!!

#41 Tip For Success

REFLECTION

Every so often you need to step back and reflect on what you have accomplished. You also need to recheck all of your open milestones and ensure that you are still heading in the right direction. If you need to reposition yourself towards your goal of success that is fine and is to be expected. You may have been battling with something specific. Rather that continue battling this issue , take time to reflect on what you might be doing wrong and reposition yourself so that you do not have to keep battling the same things repeatedly.

Customer Service 101

By: Lara Velez

I can't be the only one who has noticed the decline in customer service these days. It is a very sad thing. I have stopped shopping at many stores because of how I was treated. I believe that customer service is one of, if not the most important ingredient to any successful business.

Here are some basic tips to help you earn your customer's trust and repeated business.

- Never Argue with a Customer! No matter what, the customer is ALWAYS right. Do what it takes to make them come back. If you go the extra mile with a disgruntled customer, they will walk away happy and share their experience with others. And, everyone knows that word of mouth is the best form of advertising.

- Always be Professional. Even if your customer or client is being unreasonable, always put YOUR best foot forward. You don't know what that person's day was like, or what their past customer service experiences have been. Treat them like family. After all, they are your bread and butter.

- Never Miss a Scheduled Appointment. Being late is a HUGE no no. Leave early to get there on time, but don't ever be late! You must always make sure that you give yourself enough time for every scenario.

- Be a Good Listener. Customers are people. And people want to be heard. Sit up straight, give a firm dry handshake, and always look them in the eye.

- Samples and Discounts. Whenever possible give your customers or clients freebies and discounts. They will appreciate it, and will likely want more!

- Show those Pearly Whites! Smile. It really does make a huge difference. Not only for your customer's sake, but for you too! You will feel better knowing you stayed cool. A smile lifts you up. Your smile is a form of communication that your customers should never live without!

- Keep in Touch. Send your customers and clients a thank you note for their orders. Send post cards and flyers telling them of up-coming specials. Or, a special just for them! Taking this extra step in customer service will make your customer feel special. And, look to you in the future.

#40 Tip For Success

CUSTOMER RELATIONS

KEEP THE LINE OF COMMUNICATION WITH YOUR CUSTOMERS OPEN. IF THEY HAVE A PROBLEM ,SHOW THEM THAT YOU RESPECT THEM AND THAT YOU WILL RESOLVE THE PROBLEM QUICKLY. MAKE PHONE CALLS TO SEE IF THEY HAVE ANY NEEDS. THIS WILL LET YOUR CUSTOMERS KNOW THAT YOU CARE ABOUT THEIR BUSINESS AND THAT YOU WILL BE THERE FOR THEM IF THEY NEED YOU. THIS RELATIONSHIP IS WHAT IS GOING TO KEEP YOU ON THE ROAD TO SUCCESS. THE CUSTOMER IS THE BACK BONE TO YOUR BUSINESS - SO YOU HAVE TO KEEP THEM HAPPY - THEY ARE YOUR LINK BETWEEN SUCCESS AND FAILURE.
